We often find at the February half-term that some places aren’t even open so hopefully this post will give you some inspiration. Please double-check the event descriptions on the attraction’s website as the below information could change. It is essential that you read their own information carefully. An entrance fee applies for most of these events and some events have an extra fee to take part.

Burton Agnes Hall and Gardens – Event Confirmed
When? 5th February to 6th March Event – Snowdrops in the Woodland About – Every February, thousands of hardy snowdrops push through the cold winter ground to create a magnificent ‘white carpet’ across the woodland floor here at Burton Agnes. Walking peacefully among these makes a truly memorable day out at the end of the long winter. The beautiful little flowers grow in numbers each year and are such a welcome sight. read more….

Burton Constable Hall and Grounds – Event Confirmed
When? 22nd to 26th February Event – Make Bake and Take Away Pizza About – We’ve teamed up with Beverley Pizza Co. to deliver an educational, fun & rewarding activity for the next generation of aspiring chefs! Attendees will get creative by personalising their chef hats & takeaway pizza boxes, as well as educating themselves on the origins & ingredients of pizza before creating their preferred pizza to bake & take away.

P&O Ferries Hull Ferry Port – Event Confirmed
When? 24th and 27th February Event – Half term family fun – Join us on-board this February half term for a family fun day packed full of entertainment for your little pirates & princesses. Start your day off in our soft play area by our coffee shop for any sweet treats, before our very own host guides you through an afternoon of creative crafting, great games for the kids, dancing in the mini disco, as well as being amazed by the incredible magic show.

When? 19th to 27th February Event – Half-term Nature Trail – Follow the trail to find footprints and learn all about the different animals that roam around Sledmere grounds. The Farm Park is full of little fluffy faces that can’t wait to meet you and the adventure playground is a fantastic place to let off some steam with friends.

The Deep – Event Confirmed
When? 12th to 27th February Event – Extinction – Take a trip down our timeline, and take a look at the History and Development of Life in the Oceans within our Awakening Seas, leaving no stone unturned. Hatch Dinosaur eggs and use your palaeontology skills to identify the species. Dive into the history, evolution and diversity of sharks, and the success of the great species. When? 19th to 27th February Event – Winter Olympics – Can you and the kids follow in the footsteps of Eddie the Eagle and break our ski jump record, or maybe you’ll be the next pioneer to reach mount Everest without getting snowballed! Febrary Half Term Events South Yorkshire
Boston Park Farm – Event Confirmed
When? 12th to 20th February Event – Lambing – We have over 50 expectant ewes that are due to lamb in February so there will hopefully be new lambs being born every day. Each day there will also be the chance to meet the farmers and learn about our sheep flock, as well as lamb feeding and our popular animal handling sessions. Plus a fun sheep hunt around the farm and all the usual animals to see and feed.

Royal Armouries – Event Confirmed
When? 21st to 25th February Event – Mystery at the fort – Calling all junior super sleuths! Have you got what it takes to follow in the footsteps of the great Victorian detective Sherlock Holmes this Feb half term? Costumed characters will guide the young detectives underground into the depths of dimly lit tunnels and around key sections of the Fort. Children will hunt for clues and solve the puzzles to help unravel the cryptic case.
