Let Loose! Yorkshire Things To Do

Let Loose! Yorkshire is a family-friendly activity centre near Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. There are a number of adventure activities that you can take part in and they also have a great outdoor wooden play area. The centre has a very new and modern feel to it (it first opened in 2017) and I have to say that we haven’t been anywhere else like it, it’s pretty unique. Activities include high and low ropes, roller skating, climbing, archery, inflatables, big leap, super slide and more.

They also have a lovely looking cafe The Greedy moose with tables inside and outside with a sort of a lodge type feel to it. My son can be a little unsure of ‘adventure’ activities so I booked us a roller skating session so that he could take a good look at the place and choose what he’d like to do on a future visit.

Roller Skating

Their roller skating sessions last for an hour. You can take your own or you can hire them. Their website states that they have limited boots to hire but we saw plenty when we were there and aside from one other family that joined us for just 5 minutes we were the only ones skating. They also had helmets and other protectors that you could borrow.

Roller skating sessions are Saturdays and Sundays and every day in the school holidays. The roller skating is inside their dome. The surface is brushed concrete and a session lasts for 1 hour. The admission price for roller skating also allows you to play in the outside play area, see below.

Low Ropes Adventure

Their Low Ropes course is indoors and it can be seen in the photo above left and below. Sessions can take place during daytime rollerskating sessions. You will get a 1.5 – 2 hour adventure on the low ropes, the big leap and the super slide plus you can play on the adventure playground and stay all day.

Children age 5-6 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Children also need to be 1.2 metres. You will have a safety harness for the low and high ropes.

Adventure Playground

As long as you have an activity booked or have paid for park entry (without an activity) you can use the adventure playground at Let Loose! Yorkshire. It was bigger than I was expecting and there’s plenty for kids to play, climb, slide and swing on.

There was even a small water play area and I loved the little hobbit houses.

High Ropes Adventure

The high ropes are for the older and braver visitor. Children must be 10 years old to take part and at least 1.4 metres tall. Included in your booking is the high ropes course, a 152-metre zip wire, the Big Leap and Super Slide plus the adventure playground. You can stay all day but the main experience lasts 2-3 hours.

Big Leap and Super Slide

These two activities are both included in the high ropes and low ropes courses. You can also book a one-hour session on them as a separate activity. You will climb the giant tower to land on their big airbags below. The Jungle Run scramble net is also included as well as their super slide. Children can take part from the age of 5.

Group climbing combo – You can climb their climbing wall with 3 of your family or friends plus go on the Big Leap and Super Slide for £60 for all 4 of you.

Archery – You can also book a group/family archery session. You will be supervised at all times and instructors will concentrate on developing techniques as well as having fun. Children from the age of 5 can take part. Archery sessions for four people cost £36 online.

Jungle Buggies – These sessions take place in the Geo-dome. For half an hour you can peddle around on big and small go-karts.

Inflatables – They also have a bouncy area that is included along with the adventure playground

Many of the above activities require you to dress sensibly. Trainers or climbing closed toe shoes must be worn for most of the activities. They ask for there to be no loose fitting clothes or jewellery. Hair may also need to be tied back. You will also have a accept their online waiver while booking.

There are limited tickets so booking online in advance is advised. If you aren’t taking part in any of the activities you must book park entry online in advance. Some of the outdoor activities may not take place in bad weather.

They can even host your child’s birthday party and during term time they have cubs den sessions for the under 5s.
